Frequently asked questions

Why is tree planting a solution for carbon capture?

We don’t have all the answers to global warming but we know that there is something you can do each day to help the planet. One of the most efficient, beautiful and cost effective way to ‘capture carbon’ is by allowing plants to photosynthesize, thereby capturing carbon naturally. This is why we have chosen to promote the planting of trees. Our goal is to fund the planting of millions of trees 🙂 Isn’t it fun to know that when you get in touch with someone, you can plant a tree for them too?

Where are the trees planted and who plants them?

We have partnered with Eden Reforestation Projects which is a charity committed to planting trees in areas that require re-forestation. You can check out their work  on the link entitled ‘Partners” on this site. Trees are planted in Madagascar, Indonesia, Kenya, Haiti and Central America and supply employment in areas that are desperately in need of jobs.

Why do i have to forward the card to the recipient myself?

We give you the choice of sending your card using email, text (if the recipient has a data cellular plan) or through any messenger service including Facebook messenger, Whatsapp IM, Linkedin IM and more. This also helps avoid your card being designated as spam in email.

What happens if I don’t get my ecard or i send the card via email and my recipient doesn’t get it?

We strive to make sure our system works at all time but with technology, sometimes things go wrong. We suggest you take the link and try to send it through a different messaging delivery option. If you have not received your Tree Card, make sure to check your spam or junk folder….it might be there. Otherwise, please email us at hello@treecard.net and we will figure out what may have gone wrong. You can also ask the recipient to check their spam folder…it is probably there if it didn’t get delivered.
